One of the most sought after iPad accessories when the iPad launched in the States last month was the Apple iPad Case. Sleek, black, adjusts to be a stand, and not too expensive. You have to wonder, though, if the Apple case is worth it. Yeah, it is.

There are other options. I've had lots of recommendations for the incase book jacket and looking at the iPad Case Finder , but I've also seen the Apple case in action and like the simplicity of it.

It fits the iPad very snuggly and the material is easy to hold and keep a solid grip on. The case isn't perfect though.The edges are a little rough and might dig into your hand a bit and the case might interfere with it using docks (like the Apple iPad Keyboard Dock). I don't think the case is intended to taken on and off all the time, so keep that in mind if you want a dock or something. Sure all the ports are accessible, but the extra thickness from the case tends to throw cases off.

If you don't want a case, then I would suggest Toronto-based Gelaskins something that will protect your iPad from scratches and look cool too. Screen protectors? Yeah, that's next on my list to pick up. Zagg InivisibleSHIELD gets good reviews.

Yeah I don't think it's just iPad apps that people spend lots of money on…
