Over the past two weeks, I've gone through and provided a few posts about some of the stuff I saw that I thought was cool at the BlackBerry Wireless Enterprise Symposium. And with that, it's time to wrap things up. Read more...
If you prefer to use iTunes as your music player, and have your entire collection sitting on the app, you might be interested in being able to listen to all those tunes from any other computer without actually transferring anything. With just a few clicks in under five minutes of your time, you can make that happen. Read more...
Canada’s wireless landscape continues to get a bit of a quiet makeover with another newbie entering the mix in Mobilicity, who is starting service today in Toronto, with other major Canadian cities to follow. Read more...
Excite for Fable III? I'm judging that the response to that is probably about... fifty/fifty. I loved Fable II, one of my favourite games of 2008, but I do know that many other players suffered problems with gliches or just otherwise didn't think much of it. However, Peter Molyneux is promising that the new game will offer more than just what Fable fans want, and you can hear him discuss it--along with an appearance of John Cleese--in the following video. You know I at least have to try to put in an apple-related pun. Regardless, I rely on a core set of apps on my iPad to make it a useful tool. I'm going to exclude Mail and iBooks from the list. Mail is just there and there is no doubt that it is key to the iPad's success. Sure you have to download iBooks separately, but it should be one of the first you snag. Also, I'm not going to stick to just work apps. Games and other fun apps are key, in my mind, to making the iPad something you want to tote around. So, let's get to it. Read more...
I've slowly been going through everything I brought back from WES in Orlando, and I discovered the coolest thing yesterday. SanDisk gave me one of their products called SlotRadio+ that they're currently offering with Verizon in the US. Read more...
t's been quite a while since I've done one of my iPhone/iPod touch round-ups ! I've actually still been downloading a lot of iPod touch games, but, um, not playing them. Why? Well, I kind of hate iTunes, I need to reorganize my whole music collection, and can't quite get up the urge to do it. I'll get through them eventually! I need to, too, because this post is about a couple of upcoming games for iPhone and iPod touch--one I'm looking forward to, one I'm just confused by. Read more...
Unless you've not been paying attention to the first-person-shooter or puzzle game genres over the last few years, you're quite aware of what Portal is. But just incase you fall into that aforementioned category, let me quote from ... Read more...
Ubisoft have finally given some proper details for the upcoming Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (what, no colon?) the next title in the franchise. Due to ship during this year's Christmas period for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, it continues the story of Ezio as he moves from Venice to Rome. Read more...
Panasonic makes great digital cameras. It may not be the first brand name that comes to mind when you think of solid point and shoot cameras, but that could be because they put more money into their research and development than the do in large ad campaigns. For years Panasonic has been producing incredible point and shoot cameras with cutting edge technologies like MEGA O.I.S. and Intelligent Auto–in some cases months and even years before their competitors. UFC Undisputed 2010 is set to release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation on May 25, 2010. Here's part two of what new features you can expect to see in this year's version. Read more...
Best known for developing the WWE SmackDown Vs. Raw franchise, Yuke's is certainly no stranger to replicating authentic in-ring contact sport action. With the core elements completed in the 2009 edition, the developer has spent much of the last year refining and polishing the overall experience for UFC Undisputed 2010. Let's take a look at what's new, and why this franchise is worth a second glance. Read more...
I like Panasonic camcorders. Over the past ten years I've owned two of them. Panasonic does a great job of packing a massive amount of really useful technology into elegantly designed bodies with great optics. That, in a nutshell, is why the HDC-TM700 is a great buy. Read more...
At a press event in Toronto today, Sony showed off its Alpha NEX-3 and NEX-5 digital cameras, which follow along the path of cameras with interchangeable lenses in smaller form factors. The key difference in this case is that these cameras are pretty much as small as your average point-and-shoot. Read more...
Yes, this is another post about some cool tech that I took travelling with me on a recent vacation to Maui. And yes, again I'm talking about the Panasonic DMC-TS2, a nifty point-and-shoot camera that I fell in love with in a previous post. This time, I'm going to talk about taking the unit under water, since we're in Maui and snorkeling is one of the prime tourist activities on the island. And since the camera is waterproof, I thought I'd put it to the test. Read more...
To use a case or not to use a case, that is the question. Everyone loves their cellphones/smartphones and they don't want to see them get damaged. So what is the best way to protect your phone? And if you choose to use a case, what case should you use? Read more...
The Samsung PL100 2View is like two cameras in one: on the one hand it's a serviceable pocket digital camera that will take great pictures in everyday situations, and on the other hand it's a camera with some special features that make it the right choice when it comes to getting some really cool pictures. A few weeks back I wrote about the death of the WiFi cafe. My thesis was that it was pointless for cafes to offer this carrot to have tech savvy customers come in and then pull the rug out from under us. It's bad customer service, especially considering WiFi is becoming ubiquitous. High speed WiFi is everywhere and soon, even when it's not there, you'll be able to put it in your pocket. Read more...
The last time we saw a proper entry in the Pokémon video game series was back in 2006 with the release of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl in Japan (2007 for North America) for the Nintendo DS. It has been a long wait Pokéfans but rest assured that a brand new generation of Pokémon games are heading our way soon. Read more...
