This weekend is the Toronto Comic Arts Festival , and although that doesn't seem like it's got a lot to offer a tech blog, it does, because not only will there be a very full-featured webcomics pavillion (come on, you're using the internet, you've got to love webcomics) Toronto's own Hand Eye Society will be there demonstrating their wares.
What's that? You're sort of bored of me talking about the Hand Eye Society? Oh, well, then I'm going to go on a tangent that's completely unrelated from anything because I just saw this dog on the internet and I think he's amazing:

It's Kanellos, the Greek Protest Dog ! Apparently, he just turns up at demonstrations in Athens--no matter what they're about--and sort of hangs out. It's neat! Look at all the pictures, they're not lying; he really does just show up at all the demonstrations. How odd.
Er, anyway, the Hand Eye Society has all the information you could ever want about what's going on at TCAF, but of particular note are the facts that I'll be there selling my independently published video game 'zine exp. Magazine , and will be running a panel:
The Spirit of Indie: Where Comics Meet Video Games
Saturday, May 8th, 2:00 – 2:45pm, The Pilot
There’s more to the game industry than blockbuster, multi-system titles just as there’s more to comics than Batman. This panel seeks to explore the ways in which independent comic artists and game developers have influenced each other and spurred each other on to explore the possibilities of their medium. Cartoonists/game contributors and creators Scott Campbell, Jamie McKelvie, Jim Munroe, and Miguel Sternberg will be interviewed by games journalist Mathew Kumar.
So that was a bit of self-promotion, there. Anyway, there will be lots to see, so please consider coming along. the Toronto Comic Arts Festival is FREE, and it's on Saturday, May 8th and Sunday May 9th at Toronto Reference Library, 789 Yonge St., Toronto.
