In what I'd call the most unexpected announcement from the games industry for ages (well, ignoring the fact it was leaked a few days early...) Nintendo has announced that they're to release a new iteration of their DSi hardware (itself only out for barely a year!) with the DSi XL, a significantly larger (but functionally identical) Nintendo DSi that'll feature 4.2'' screens and has been developed to better suit older gamers who may be uncomfortable with the smaller screen of the DS/DSi. When I received my first iPod a few years back, I cursed Apple. iTunes didn't work as I expected, it kept wanting to 'fix' my library by rearranging my carefully crafted file structure, and essential features were either missing or I couldn't find them. At that time, in my mind, iTunes was broken, and one of the worst pieces of media managing software on the planet.
